Winter cardinals (cardinal couple - male and female). Used palette knife and lots of paint with some scratching technique for added textural interest.

Winter Cardinal
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... Back at the easel this cold, Sunday afternoon, and it feels GREAT!!! Am shooting to paint almost daily as an exercise, at least, and that's how I approached this painting. Wanted to achieve somewhat of an abstract quality with the relatively described cardinal. Used sharpie, brushes, and palette knife! Fun! I'm BACK!
