One Last Time

This image I shot at Orange Beach, AL last summer. It shows a young family ending their day on the beach. Mom is washing out sand toys while son and daughter play on the beach's edge one last time for the day. Dad is waiting patiently... I love the long shadows and contrasting light and shadows in the late evening on the beach.

Claire,
I love this one! I can see the over the head stretch as the Dad watches his family as they take in the beach. I love the way the water is moving and the difference in the sand where the water has just been. By the way, thanks for including me on your blog! Have fun at Rosemary Beach! I wish I could be there!

Thanks so much, Bonnie! Was hard keeping the acrylic wet enough to work with - constant mixing over and over. I'm happy with the outcome.

Cheers!

Claire, this is wonderful! I'm just now seeing the pale lavender in the shadows--i love that!

Thanks, Sis! Yes, that color is great for shadows to incorporate more color into the painting...
