"Blueberries"

I painted my favorite berry! I liked the idea of a challenge in scale - blowing up something small into a bigger image. I like working with complimentary tones here, too. In my COLOR CAFE class last week, we did a palette knife lesson. This piece incorporated the palette knife to add texture. Lots of various blues built up. LUSCIOUS! This would make a great little painting for your kitchen or a small, intimate area.

Oil on panel, 8 x 8

I'm currently working on a blue and yellow piece too. Funny to stumble upon yours at this time. I love the blueberries... Not usual fruit to find painted. Being from Maine, one look at these plump beauties sent the taste of sweet warmed juice exploding in my mouth!

...sorry, didn't mean to eat your painting
